Lost in quagmire of thoughts, I sometimes wonder if double
standards have become a way of life. People who claim to be practicing “Do what
you preach” are the ones who imbibe double standards. And this applies in all
walks of life. It’s hard to digest especially when people whom you look upto-
start behaving similarly. Life cant be demystified and however hard you try to
fathom, some things will still stay like the tip of iceberg. People with double
standards play under the veil of “Saam-Daam-Dand-Bhed” and classify it as strategy.
On the one hand they show themselves to be extremely people centric on the
other- they are self centric to an extent, beyond imagination. While life is
giving me multiple experiences, it is harrowing to see your “Goods” getting
fraught by worldly pleasures.

The Generation Gap
Sometimes I am extremely surprised at the ideas of my
parents and not because they are outdated but because it is exactment en
face. In spite of coming from orthodox
backgrounds and belonging to a back in development city- its heartening to see them
adopting the modern ways of life. While these modern ways relate not just to
thinking, food habits, lifestyles- it is generally acceptable that the views of
2 generations can never be similar. But the case here is different. Parents who
didn’t opt for risk for their own growth are going on a changed and risk path
of their offsprings. While this one relates not just for careers but also for
personal life- Questioning the societal norms is extremely commendable. Glad
that I have both of you in life
