Circus

I experienced myself becoming a kid, yet once more- while watching the circus. Circus used to be a charm in my yester years and my parents never forgot to open doors of this life to both the kids, year on year.

Though the no. of animals and their antics has become much lower due to stronger animal rights, the no. of acrobatics has increased. Audience still more interested in seeing performances by female gymnasts, as usual. The use of clowns and dwarfs as fillers and humour continue to be the same.

Circus is a beautiful depiction of life- On screen. The trust on one’s capability, the faith on group work and desire to achieve certain outcome. While the off-screen life looks difficult for the circus team. Sustaining with meagre ticket rentals and meeting the needs of a big herd of people and animals, managing without technology, accounting for capital item’s wear and tear- cant be kept aside. Life would be difficult as vagabonds, limited income, inter group clashes and many aspects which we can’t fathom.

All said -  it was a value for money and light moments, bated breaths and innocent fun.

Leaving the Stable Ground

I feel bad in heart, leaving you. While i never thought that i will get attached to you and the people, this has happened!! There was a time that people questioned my ability to hold ground but i have proved them wrong. Not only have i positioned myself strongly but also build credibility for my own self. Sometimes, i feel that we shouldn’t believe in what is being said because we start questioning ourselves and our capabilities. Now that the time has come to part away from you, i feel bad because i have been able to create relationships worth cherishing, and mutually bankable relationship and faith.

Prices are falling

Is everything that is priced less, bad? Is the quality not good? May be, may be not. But people tend to weigh everything with money and costs associated. No one talks about the intention. In many cases, which i have witnessed- the aim of keeping the price low is to be able to take the thing to masses, to open doors to multiple people who might want it but not able to make it due to monetary constraints. While individual services are always good and boast of quality- how many of us are actually able to afford it- It becomes a cherishable item for few.

English Vinglish

This is one movie, which i should have seen in theatre and realised it after seeing the TV version of the same. It has lots to correlate especially because as a student of the foreign language “French”- there were many plots to identify with. The coming together of multiple people from diverse aspects of life like students, college goers, novice professionals, experienced professionals and ladies who are back at home. Everyone comes with a different reason for investment- some talk about career, some feel it is good time pass, others feel that it is a chance to reclaim their lost identity and for some it’s about learning and exposure. Motives different but same goal, intensity different but thoughts alike. Teachers taking their time to adjust to the diametric groups of the class. Coteries getting formed basis likings, within the same group. Similar pressure experienced during exams, everyone trying to build up in their own way, some focussing on individual attempts, some taking up group learning. The book reviews, the extempore and times when teachers reprimanded for not being in sync. Missing classes for some snacks and enjoying at the tapri and reserving seats for the chosen few. The mischiefs, days of silence, the silent attractions- all enjoyable.

While the movie brought all of this in good memory but also dint falter in bringing nitty gritties of life, to light. The pain that people go through for not being able to understand one language, the advantage that people take over them and talk rubbish, just because they are not aware of one thing. Members being considered waste only because of one disadvantage of theirs. And when people change themselves and their priorities, to match up- still people question the acceptance. The movie was a beautiful and showed a beautiful convergence of life and reality.

Its all about me

There are people who just enjoy talking about themselves, what they have done, how they have done, what fell on their lap and they keep basking in its glory. All of this, in front of people who have not been so lucky in life and such examples are abundantly available in personal and professional lives. They don’t understand that such conversations might not be interesting to the other party and keep boasting. And we have to forcibly become party to it.

The Anchorage

The world has westernized and womanized! And when i say this, it means women are being used as fillers to bring the glamour quotient even when not required. Most movies and advertisements are good examples of the same, where women are just treated as items for publicity. Talking about one recent serial wherein a male anchor (extremely capable) was running the show on his own for about 2 years, why there is a sudden inclusion of female anchor, who has limited knowledge of the subject and doing nothing but a mockery of herself and female fraternity. My only question to such ladies is – Is money so much important that their contribution to the overall object is denigrated? Why do we have to understate ourselves and even do stuff which treats us, as one below. And probably this is one reason why man dominated movies, things keep coming up.

The Limits

People are dichotomous!!! When it comes to themselves, they feel in a different way and voice it but when it comes to others- they will act differently. Everyone’s limits are different and snapping point is different. People talk about not crossing limits with them but never deter from doing so, when it comes to others- without even considering how much it would have pinched the other. And on top of it, they are not even ready to understand????? Why this dualism????
