I baptize Himesh as a Desperate person not because he is trying his hands on all sorts of fields to claim his fame instead it is for the expression in most of his songs. Amongst all the recent music directors- his songs have the highest bass of desperation. Whether it is “Dekhoon tujhe to pyar aye”, “Tadap tadap tadap ho tum”, “Loneliness is killing everyone”, “Aashiq Banaye”- all have element of desperation.
We all are desperate for one thing or another- whether it is love/lust/acceptance and his songs bring out the feelings in best manner. The saucy beats which marinate the lyrics are the essence of his musical melodrama. Garnished with the non-hackneyed voice of Himesh- these songs become point of contention for one reason or another. Maintaining that he is not my favorite vocalist – I still look up to his songs and experience those hidden feelings to satisfy the craving soul. Try and experience it yourself- some of his songs will grow on you J
